This listing is for one packet of Cup Plant (Silphium perfoliatum) seeds. Each packet contains roughly 35 seeds. For best germination of native species, remember to scatter seeds October-January!

A.k.a. cup rosinweed. A taller plant with sunflower-like flowers. So called because the broad leaves hold water where they meet at the stem, where birds may stop to get a drink! Supports a wide variety of pollinators, and is favored by monarchs!
Does not shoot runners over distances, but rhizomes are robust and will form a dense, ever expanding clump. Easily propagated by rhizome. Best planted with other tall species that won’t be crowded out. Excellent for seasonally wet areas like ditches and floodplains.
