A.k.a. sand coreopsis. The signature bright yellow blooms of coreopsis in a hardy native package! A generally triennial plant that prefers poor soil, but will adapt to fertile soil with good drainage so long as other plants are not allowed to overgrow it. Deadheading encourages second or third rounds of blooms! Reseeds readily and grows quickly in open areas, so perfect for quick blooms and filling space while other plants mature.

Notable Wildlife Interactions: Flowers attract a wide variety of insects such as bees (including one obligate species), wasps, flies, beetles, butterflies, skippers, and day-flying moths. Occasionally browsed by a wide variety of mammals.
