A.k.a. large flowered trillium. A charismatic trillium, and one of the few propagated in nurseries. Prefers rich, evenly moist soil and dappled to bright shade in the spring, but will tolerate more shade in the summer. Slow to establish, and captive propagated plants vary widely in time to flower, usually between 4-7 years. Are sought out by deer, and should be protected while they establish.
