A.k.a. showy black-eyed Susan.* A showy Rudbeckia that stays comparatively short and can tolerate some dry conditions. Bloom period lasts for roughly a month in midsummer, but a second bloom can be encouraged with deadheading. Reasonably drought tolerant once established.

*Not an Echinacea, but some members of Rudbeckia are often called coneflowers. Petition for the common names to at least stick to genera. Orange coneflower is often applied to Echinacea paradoxa, which NPU refers to as Ozark coneflower.
