Cream False Indigo:

One of the earliest blooming prairie plants! Distinct foliage, flowers, and seed pods are standout in plantings. Slow growing in the first year or two while roots establish, but established plants are heat and drought tolerant. Needs well drained and/or dry soils.

Generally avoided by mammalian browsers.
