A.k.a. brewer’s cap and twoleaf miterwort. A smaller, delicately blooming woodland plant that prefers dappled shade in the spring and fuller shade in the warmer months. Leaves resemble those of alum root in shape and have similar decorative qualities, but blooming plants are easily distinguished by Bishop’s cap’s fringed flower petals and distinctive pair of leaves on the flower stalk.
