A large, comparatively narrow native aspen. Hosts many insects and multiple butterflies, including the viceroy and red-spotted purple, which also makes it excellent for bird support! Commonly spreads from runners to form dense stands. Does not tolerate shade or flooding.

Pollination: Needs a male and a female plant.
