A.k.a. smooth phlox. A phlox that favors moist soils, but can adapt to mesic conditions. Like other phlox, its flowers cater to hummingbirds and butterflies! Stays shorter in mesic conditions, but may reach 2-3ft in consistently moist soils. Drought is a danger to younger plants, which should not be allowed to dry out.
