A short, bunching rush known for persisting in marginal conditions. Tolerant of clay soil, mild to moderate foot traffic and compaction, and some drought. In its preferred marginal conditions, it rarely exceeds 1’ in height. Easily grown, but prone to being crowded out by taller plants in garden conditions.
