A.k.a. antelope horns and green antelope horn. A short, drought tolerant milkweed with unique, early, and showy blooms! Like other milkweeds, it is a host plant for monarch butterflies and a good source of nectar. Its short stature means it useful in landscaping, but may be crowded out by taller plants in garden conditions. Much like butterfly milkweed, it should be planted in average to dry soils with good drainage.
