A.k.a. windflower. A small woodland ephemeral that needs some spring sun, and shade after trees leaf out. The short lived white flowers sit on thin stems and sway in the lightest of breezes. This delicate plant completes its life cycle in the spring and goes dormant in summer.

Anemonella thalictroides and Anemone thalictroides are commonly used synonyms.
