Silky Aster (Symphyotrichum sericeum)
A standout aster that blooms with large, single flowers. A native of poor, rocky soils, it will adapt to most any soil so long as it is well drained. Does not tolerate competition from neighboring plants and grows slowly compared to other asters, but is drought tolerant once established.
