A small, adaptable viburnum that tolerates soil acidity! Best known from its small stature (compared to other viburnums) and variable but lovely fall color, it also has berries for birds and a tolerance for poor soils. Easy pruned and shaped. Will sucker slowly if allowed. Plants grown in the sun will have a fuller form than those grown in the shade.

Notes: A short and not very competitive plant, it tends to grow in poor soils in the wild, where it doesn’t have as much competition.
