Canada Wild Rye (Elymus canadensis) 1 GAL
This hardy grass grows quickly and spreads easily from seed, making it an excellent candidate to fill space in new plantings while slower growing species establish! It is a cool season grass that does most of its growing in spring and fall.
Note that the seed heads become stiff and sharp as they mature. This deters late season browsing, but can pose a hazard to dogs and grazing animals, as well as a splinter risk for children.
