A star member of the milkweed family with a short stature and lovely orange blooms that are attractive to a range of pollinators! Does not tolerate wet soil, and is commonly overwatered in gardens. Prefers poor soils and neglect, and a long taproot makes it drought resistant when established. Hosts monarch butterflies!
