A.k.a. swamp milkweed and rose milkweed. A mid-sized, showier milkweed that is a perfect landscaping alternative to common milkweed! Has attractive foliage, oftentimes pink or red stems, and pink flowers favored by many pollinators. Hosts monarch butterflies! Tolerates seasonal flooding. Often has a taproot- transplant when young, with caution.
