A.k.a. Marsh blazing star. A classic gayfeather in appearance with possibly the prettiest foliage of the native liatris. The tall bloom spikes are popular with bees and butterflies, and make a stunning addition to wetland and moist prairie plantings! Can be difficult to tell apart from its better known but usually slightly shorter relative, prairie blazing star.
